Prior to becoming an attorney, Lawyer Fowlkes worked as a probation and parole officer for years, so he has unique knowledge and a variety of perspectives on the legal system. He was a law clerk in the 6^th Circuit Court of Davidson County. He has nearly 30 years experience providing skilled criminal defense to clients in state misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. He also wrote The Book on DUI, published in 1999 (written for lawyers, containing motions and briefs) by the highly-reputable M. Lee Smith Publishers.

Lawyer Fowlkes is an active member of the community and an all-around active person. He is a Titans season ticket holder, enjoys the outdoors, enjoys riding motorcycles, and used to drive an 18-wheeler.
